I don't know if you guys are interested in this sort of thing, but here it is:
http://www.worldmapper.org/ World Mapper shows..world maps, but each country's size on the map is in accordance with the topic of that specific map. Here is an example: 
This map shows Carbon Emissions as of the yeard 2000 This one is Military spending as of 2002 
Of course there are other topics (more than I am naming here): Poverty,income, death, disaster, violence, housing, education, etc Enjoy
