Its good in theory to have relegation promotion but it wouldnt work in Australia, there arent enough teams up to professional standard. Its all about money but mostly popularity, with enough money you can build a decent standard league like the A League and you need it to get the best players, facilities etc, but you need the popularity to be there so people will actually go to the games, that is why in countries where football is the dominant sport, the leagues are the best, even in small countries. Give it time, one day it will get there.
