Stoichkov Coaching in Spain?

FC Barcelona's administration invited Stoichkov along with Jose Luis Bakero to work at the club's youth program. This was announced by Barca's president to reporters from El Mundo Deportivo.

Barca is planning to open a series of camps with the help of Nike. Currently, Stoichkov is a player and assistant coach at DC United in the Major League Soccer. His contract will run out next year.

Stoichkov has previously admitted that he has the desire of coaching in the Spanish La Liga. But this will not be happening in the near future because the Spanish Football Federation requires three years of work experience for all new coaches. The Bulgarian commented "I have nothing but respect for the president of the Spanish Football Federation. Still, I have over 20 years of experience in the football industry."

The latest rumors claim that a Chinese team has immediately shown interest in hiring Stoichkov as a coach.
