Trifon Ivanov: Fact or Myth

This "fact or myth sheet" attempts to clear up some of the rumors which have been circulating about Trifon Ivanov.

Trifon has a nasty temper?
Myth :: He is frank but never loses control of himself. Trifon is very outspoken and that often gets him in trouble with coaches.

Trifon has his own tank?
Fact :: He purchased an army tank from a sale of old military equipment in Svishtov, Bulgaria. Trifon comments about his tank: "It's great, it floats in water and can withstand 6 tons." He also owns a boat.

When Trifon shaves, he has a full beard 4 hours later?
Myth :: This rumor was started by one of Ivanov's teammates.

Trifon has an AK47?
Fact :: He (as well as the entire Bulgarian squad) was given an AK47 after winning the bronze at World Cup 1994. Trifon also admits of having three rifles, many pistols, and swords.

In real life, Trifon is shy?
Myth :: He hates media attention and rarely gives interviews. Apart from his public image, he is as shy as the next person.

Trifon is a licensed manager?
Fact :: He got his international license in 2003 and is planning to help young Bulgarian footballers transfer to Western Europe. Trifon hopes that this will help the Bulgarian national squad.

Trifon is a party animal and womanizer?
Myth :: He is happily married with two daughters.

Before his debut for Rapid Vienna, Ivanov could be seen on the touchline, smoking a Davidoff cigar?
Uncertain :: There is no proof for this claim but it may as well be true.
